How do the government or us define child poverty?

Just reading the news and i would like to know how do we define child poverty in the UK? is this like poor housing, not feeding the children well, poor clothing, bad parenting e.t.c

How do the government or us define child poverty?
Poverty has more to do with income then "parenting". It's usually a case for neglect, rather then abuse.
Reply:Well I know in the USA your considered poor if you make under $15,000 USD a year. Not sure about the UK.
