State of Califronia: Vehicle "class" laws. What is the difference? Class A, B, C... etc.?

In the state of California, what defines a Class A vehicle vs. a Class C vehicle? And what about a Class B vehicle, what is the story there?





I would prefer a good link to a site that explains this, because no matter what you tell me, I have a feeling I will be left with even MORE questions :)
