Define wrong and how it measures morality and humanity? *read my details!?
wrong is different on different standards...DEPENDING on morality or humanity. what you consider wrong may not be what i consider wrong. or what america considers wrong may not be what iraqis consider wrong. what christians consider wrong may not be what sunnis and shi'ites consider wrong. what im getting at is morality and humanity is measured by what is considered wrong....if lying, cheating, stealing, adultering, murdering, idolotry, disobedience, gluttony, lusting, etc are considered "wrong", this person's morality could be set at a very high level. or in america humanity is set at a very important issue to protect...for example it is wrong to discrimiate based on race or sex, it is wrong to abuse, it is wrong to kill, there are no "cruel and unusual punishments".....i know im kinda rambling but i dont know exactly how to put in a short definition what im trying to say...ihope this helps you though!!
Reply:If "wrong" is defined as anything that goes against the norm of a society and its laws, then morality and humanity are measured in your drug abuse example by the acceptance and tolerance of drug use/abuse by a society or enforcement of its drug laws. The more society upholds its drug laws by discouraging drug use and arresting those defying the law, the higher the degree of morality. The more programs society sets up to deal with the reality of its drug abusers, the higher the humanity among them.
